Set main keyword as an h1 header

Not only do search engines look for your headers to know what your page is about – people do too. Having your primary keyword in your biggest header tells your readers and search engine spiders what your page is all about! When you use headers, it makes your content so much clearer to understand.

• Try to make your keywords the first word(s) in the header
• Only have one h1 header on each page

 

Include your long tail keywords in h2′s or h3′s

Just like your main keyword, include your long tail keywords – better yet, sub topics – in your article. This allows people to skim your article for exactly what they are examining for. This article is turning into a writing lesson too.

Images in articles do not only add visual appeal to readers.. They are free keyword stuffers! If you’re using WordPress , use the featured image option. Image name after your-main-keyword .JPEG and set the title and ALT tags to the same keyword.
